Yeah, I was saying that. I'm glad it turned out otherwise. Tim estimated in another 5K it would have required replacement of the rod end if I'd continued to run it that way.

No valving changes. Not sure what to change to improve it actually. Overall, I was very happy with the way they were working. Tho they had become a bit floaty on the highway. I assumed they might have lost some of the nitrogen charge.

Tim said the nitrogen was a little low but most notable was the oil. He said it was in bad shape. He said both of these things could combine to result in what I was feeling.

I'll know more after I get them back on.

It is interesting that the oil was wasted after only 30K. Might be an indication that resis are necessary on 1st gen applications. :notsure: More oil capacity, better oil cooling wouldn't hurt to extend the life of the oil I guess.

resi's would help with that. But truth is. You just abuse them. Such is life. the life of a shock on rigs like ours isn't good. Resi's would help though. I know i told you i could feel my Kings fade on Igor. One of the reasons i'll be adding the ADS shocks to him at some point..i hope. Rather then add resi's to these kings.

No different then the 5100/OME..they get softer as age goes on..then they suddenly don't dampen at all haha

Eh not by much, but a little bit. I'll get more for it than what I would have gotten for the car.

As you know, I am intrigued by the ADSs.

I can't imagine what the condition of the oil is on an old set of nitro chargers or 5100s. @m3bassman @Speedytech7 How about it guys. How about we cut open one of your old shocks to check out the condition of their oil. You know...for science. :cookiemonster:

In other news I finally nuked my first cv...it was certainly from expiration of life and not wheeling. Don't think I've ever broken one, and in some mild snow it chunked. Oh well. Gonna do tie rods and fix the cv this weekend before driving back to Boise. Hopefully it stops freakin s owing so I can work on the truck tho. Teton pass has like 2ft of fresh snow. The skiing is fucking prime.

Doing a 7am boot pack pass lap and another at 5pm when I'm off work #jackson
