2013 automatic lights?

i just purchased my first tacoma (2013 LIMITED PreRunner). I can not figure out how to get the headlights to automatically turn off, regardless of what switch position. Owners manual says to just get out of the car and shut the door,, but mine stay on. Is there a better light tutorial somewhere for these rides? should be simple, but I can't not figure it out.

 

I didnt know prerunners come in limited trim.

The lights on my 2013 limited shut off after i remove the key then open the door.

 

as stated above by TacomaMike37, that's how mine also work, but not every time, very odd

 

so what setting do you have light switch on? the one that looks like C)= ? mine just don't go off, i have to manually turn the stinkin switch. I have not had a vehicle I had to do that with since about 1990.

 

My 2013 headlights turn off when I turn the truck off and open the door. They will stay on if I turn them on after shutting the car off.
