Built some custom mounting brackets for my awning, and got the bastard up and in place. In hindsight, I would definitely spend the money buying the actual ARB mounting brackets, but hey, built it with scraps, and have a pretty substantial mounting system. It was just a little bit too much work to be worth it. Apologize for the quality of the pictures, the sun was getting low and I was in a hurry to get some pics. I'll probably tear the thing back off and get the whole rig powder coated, but for now, it's finally on! Whole set up for rack, brackets and awning cost me roughly 315. For once my frugal ways have paid off.
P.S. if anyone is in the same boat I was today, I spoke with ARB and the ideal mounting height for the awning (if you plan to install the drop down room) is 1.9-2.1 meters

Talked to Toyota and will be getting new leaf springs on both sides as "good will" since my drivers side broke two leafs for no apparent reason.

Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
I did the rear a week or two ago. I was cutting for a high clearance rear bumper and figured I might as well keep going while I had everything out. I still have my tiny little 265 winter tires on and it looks ridiculous right now lololololol

I think I'd have to be drunk to have the stones to hack at my truck like this. Looks like you're doing a good job though! Kudos.

Started sorting out my auxiliary fog lights. Got the mounts figured out, just waiting on the lights to show up tomorrow.

I need to make 4 of these brackets and then I need to figure out something for a rear awning.
