If you charge and people pay, you're a professional. You might produce crappy work, but still.

No Tacoma yet, however I've been running Pentax DSLRs for a while here, current setup is a K1 with a 24-70 f2.8/100mm f2.8 macro. Photos to come!

Photography can stop time and put in a picture. If you hold a lot of pictures, you hold time caught in the past. So yes we can have way to much time in our hands. :)

I was going to ask.. Any good lens recommendations for 18-100mm. I figure that is my range.

I have a Sony A7 e-mount 28-70mm lens, it is great, but getting ideas and need opinions.

A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
The brighter --the better -- of course the price goes up as the lens' lowest "f-stop" goes down!

I noticed... I am holding off on mods for a good lens.

I found I was zooming in and out frequently finding different spots and angles during a sunrise.

"Nostalgia - it's delicate, but potent. Teddy told me that in Greek, "nostalgia" literally means "the pain from an old wound." It's a twinge in your heart far more powerful than memory alone. This device isn't a spaceship, it's a time machine. It goes backwards, and forwards... it takes us to a place where we ache to go again. It's not called the wheel, it's called the carousel. It let's us travel the way a child travels - around and around, and back home again, to a place where we know are loved."

Let's talk privately. Many of these locations, if not private land, are being closed by the BLM due to safety and health concerns.

These photos are amazing! Love everything from the amateur shots to the pros! when I get back from my deployment I'm planning on finally upgrading my Nikon D40x (over 10 years old) and I've been looking at the new mirrorless line up from SONY... I love the A6300 but the price of the A6000 with a solid mount lens also seems like a good route... any suggestions from the pros?! I'm more of a beginner when it comes to taking photos outside of Auto mode... thus the reason the Sony A6000 series yells out at me due to the EVF and being able to see the ISO effects etc prior to taking the photo...

I bought an A6000 slightly used on eBay and I love it. I'm starting to mess around with the settings more now. I've posted quite a few times in this thread, but here are a couple others that show it's abilities:

Damn amazing photos! A few questions...
Were these unedited or modified from raw images?
Was this with the kit lens or an E lens? Trying to weigh and balance the prices A6000 with better glass or A6300 and use kit lens for awhile...

I used the 50mm 1.8 e lens for those. I take everything in raw and jpeg. Didn't edit the people ones, actually meant to have a different photo not the same one twice. I don't think I edited the bridge one and I edited the car one just a little bit. It was really wet and overcast that day though. I don't have a lot of lenses but I love that one. This is the other photo I meant to include:
