Ultimate 3rd Brake/Cargo Light

Up for sale is my "Ultimate 3rd brake/cargo light".
This is a super custom build....all handcrafted. Not purchased. You will not find another one like it.(except for my personal one)

I start off with a OEM light, then take it apart and upgrade it!
What do I do? The factory light has 6 LEDS.......Mine has 162
Then I wrap it with smoke vinyl for a stealth look.(with windows for optimal cargo light performance). Not only is the brake light enhanced, but now you can actually SEE things in your bed!
This is 100% plug and play into the factory harness. (removal is a little tricky, post #12 has instructions)

Cargo lights are angled down for better bed illumination, while brake lights face out for rear driver visibility.

How hard is it to remove?

 

If I was to mail you my 3rd brake light. What would be the turn around time?

 

Not difficult just time consuming. Steps:
1) Remove 6 plastic hooks in headliner: 2X on each side(where the overhead handles would have been) And 2X middle rear.
2) Carefully pry the "SRS airbag" plastic cover on both Left/right rear C panels. (Use a razor blade to get underneath them)
3)Remove 1X 10mm bolt under each side of SRS logos. Then pull hard on entire plastic cover (seat belt will stay through the hole..just set is down out of the way)
4)Pull passenger/driver rear weather stripping down out of the way.
5)Grab headliner from center rear and gently pull down. (be careful not to pull TOO far down and crease it)
6) Reach up from either side with 10mm socket(use extension!) and remove 2X 10mm Nuts holding brake light in
7) Pop the brake light out and unplug it. (Tip: open rear window for easier access) The brake light foam might be stuck to the cab, just use some elbow grease.

Reassemble: Do the above in reverse

3-4 days. Unlike my Ultimate mirror signals(where you could drive around without them) Going without the 3rd brake light would not be advised on a daily driver.. not to mention all the work needed to remove/install. That is why I am trying to get Core exchanges going to keep downtime to a minimum. But, if you wish I am more than happy to mod yours while you wait.

I don't have a stockpile of these like the mirror signals. I rely on the buyer to send back his OEM so I can keep the modding going. The gift that keeps giving . If enough people want this, I'll buy a few OEMS to get the lead time down.
