My gas gauge is toast and I suspect the fuel sending unit. Can I buy just the sensor that sends the fuel level to the gauge or am I going to need to buy a whole new pump assembly? I have been looking all over and cannot find just the unit that sends the gas gauge information. The fuel pump is working fine by the way.

    All help is appreciated.

How many miles do you have, its better too just replace the whole unit if you have anything above 80,000 miles as the work involved is not worth it too just replace the sending unit only.

It's a 2010 with 55k. Dropping the tank won't be bad as I have access to a lift and air tools. But, if I could just buy the part that sends the fuel level that would be preferable. Any idea of where to get?

Ebay, but look for a Factory Toyota part ( no aftermarket shit) ,a lot of Toyota dealerships sell parts there for a lot less then if you buy them directly from a dealership.

Did replacing the fuel sending unit fix the problem?
