Canadian news channel at 6:30 pm today just announced a "RECALL" for this issue....

I'm not sure they actually know what they are saying, but they said RECALL....!!

I'm at the dealer for service right now. My service writer said it's been a complete shit show all day.

 

Serious question, could this be why my truck jerks when accelerating sometimes? Hoping this will fix the issue if it is then.

 

I wouldn't count on this being your issue unless you've already got some serious damage due loss of fluid.

 

No that's either the misfire issue or just a symptom of the shitty transmission.

Description
The involved vehicles have rear differentials that may leak oil. If the vehicle is continuously operated in this condition, the rear differential could become damaged, which can result in noise and reduced propulsion. In some cases the rear differential could seize, resulting in a loss of control of the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. If the vehicle is continuously operated in this condition, the rear differential could become damaged, which can result in noise and reduced propulsion. Remedy
The remedy will involve an inspection to determine if a leak is present between the rear differential and the rear axle. If the vehicle has no signs of a leak, all fasteners will be re-tightened. If a leak is identified, the rear differential carrier gasket will be replaced with a new one, and new fasteners will be installed. If rear differential components are damaged, the rear differential carrier assembly will be replaced with a new one. This remedy will be at no cost to customers.

Yeah, I heard the same thing from a tech, too.

 

Damn back to the drawing board I guess lol. Sometimes it accelerates fine and sometimes it jerks when accelerating. It just depends on what mood she's in.
