Hey everyone. First time poster here..

So I am looking at lifting my 2017 TRD Sport 3" and am pretty torn on what to do. I'll be driving mostly on road, but am looking to get out off-roading on the weekends. Honestly, not trying to break the bank either. Here are some options that I have looked at so far:

-Toytec BOSS Suspension Kit - http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com/Boss-Suspension-System-for-16Tacoma_p_1464.html

-Bilstein 6112 in the front (http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/truck-off-road/bilstein-b8-6112/) with Bilstein 5100 in the back with either a 2" block or add a leaf

Also looking for opinion on the ride comparison between spring/strut lift vs one with coilovers. And do you guys think aftermarket UCA is necessary for 3"?

    Thanks for the help!

Fox extended coilovers - no reservoirs.
Fox extended shocks (rear) w/ reservoirs.
3 leaf add a leaf - no overload leaf.
    Total chaos uca's .

That is a winning formula sir. Perfect for on road but great for the weekend warrior.
It's a Fox level 2 lift from headstrong offroad.

You can always use the search function to find PLENTY of info about this same topic. It's pretty much been beaten to death...but I'll be kind and help a new member out.

Do you have any pics of your truck with this set up? I am looking at doing the same thing to my 17 ORDC. Also, thoughts on light racing UCA'S???

With that 3" lift you'll be fine.

Hey man that kit you are referring to is a 3 inch lift? I was looking at it and the option for the extended front coil over with a total chaos UCA makes it 3 inches total?

I think it's designed to be a 2'' lift for 2nd gen and 1'' for third gen. You can crank it up an extra inch for both but I think it's not recommended.
