That isn't a first gen. It looks like a 89 or 90 pickup and most likely has the 3.0 v6 which wasn't one of Toyota's best engines.

hope it runs decently and AC works...looks like they have been hauling acid or something the way the tailgate looks. That body style looks like the one that goes from 90-95 or whatever yr stopped before Tacoma started gen 1 in 1996 IIRC. Wife had a 93 or so but wasn't 4x4, that interior style and body looks same like she had. Hers was 22-re 4 cylinder tho........

    5th gen hi-lux...........

IIRC, the 3.0s were notorious head gasket blowers, on passenger side most often......

That's an 89-90 pickup, you can tell because it still says Toyota on the grill and not the circular emblem

It has a 3.0, which as others mentioned isn't a great engine, the joke I always heard was 4 cylinder power with v8 fuel economy. I had a 92 4Runner and before and after I replaced the head gasket it was a dog.

That truck doesn't look worth half what he's asking, it's hammered

Do not buy unless the head is rebuilt completely, get first gen and save yourself some headaches
