I've been fighting with the VA to get my disability increased since I retired. I have finally gotten it to where it should had been 13 years ago. If it wasn't for my disability increased I've gotten in the past 2 years there would be no way I could I make it on the pitiful 2% COLA. Former/late president Reagan gave the best military pay increase while I was serving, I think it was 10%, which was huge.

Technically did it last night, but put on a used soft bed cover that I picked up for really cheap. Need to do a little adjusting, but like it so far.

I'm sitting here looking at front suspension upgrades and how depressing is that. I seriously don't understand htf people afford this shit? I guess I just must not get paid very well at all. I'd have to sell my 68 camaro to afford building the rest of my truck likr I'd like to. Well at least I guess I could park it in thegarage then

The hard part for me is that there is not much middle ground. I have a set of 5100's and am ready to upgrade but the next step up is 4-5 times more expensive, especially for the front. I don't need reservoirs and adjusters but even just a set of 2" or 2 1/2" are pretty expensive. I've accepted that I'll have almost $2,500 in the suspension and that is on the super cheap side.

Yes I like you have 5100's with Eibach coils and they work fine for now but will eventually wear out especially since I got them second hand andaleady had some miles on them. It is exactly as you said you go from something that's relatively affordable to rediculously exspensive. Crap just a decent priced modest mid travel setup and your up to at least 3K sorry I just don't have that laying around to burn up

I've done the exact same thing. I've looked at 5100's, coil springs, and add a leaf springs, damn that adds up fast, forget adding UCA's and then bigger tires. Looks like I'll have to remain at stock height, maybe if I can find a used stock setup from a 3rd gen I could afford to get a little more ground clearance. I would never be able to afford or justify the cost of a King setup. I have Champaign taste with cheap beer funds.
