I'm planning on replacing the bushings on the leaf springs on my '03 PreRunner DBL Cab.
A quick note..I do not live in the rust belt, and "hoping" nothing is seized.
I'm getting confused on the front bushing replacement.
Do you order the part high-lighted in yellow below or do you just order the left/right bushing for each side?
Also, should I stay with the rubber bushings or switch to polyurethane? Wasn't sure if there was an advantage of one over the other for the leaf springs.

If thats the part# for your year vehicle it should be that bushing. Prob same # for the opposite side in the same location. Poly is going to be stiffer if you do them all change them all to the same

I would not recommend poly, it creaks, pops and squeaks. I used this stuff from Energy called pre-lube and it helped a lot with squeaking however I still get creaking and popping. It's been a never ending battle to quiet down the rear.

Excluding my engine, tranny & body mounts, every single bushing in my truck is Poly. I've never had any noises. The trick is to use a tacky grease when assembling and coat all surfaces the bushings have contact with.

That said. It's a pain in the ass to convert, with the propane torches, sawzalls, files, wire brushes.... But I vote poly. They might not last as long, but if they do start to fail, replacing them is an hour job and they don't need a 20 ton press to remove THEN install. You're down half a day, not days. Just my experience..

Why are you just replacing the front bushings? Is this on stock/original leaf springs? If you are replacing the whole spring pack, I would use a bushing kit like this one: I agree with @License2Ill , poly bushings are a far superior choice. The secret to avoiding squeaky poly bushings is to use a correct lithium based lube like Red 'N Tacky from Lucas or Super Lube and to torque the bolts at ride height. Meaning, torque them with the weight of the truck on the ground.

As others mentioned, the part in yellow is correct and should be same number for both sides.

I put an energy suspension poly kit on mine. I've had no problems with it and haven't noticed any squeezing.

To replace, I started with rear bushings pulling bolts, then drilled out as much rubber as possible. Torched/burned out the center piece then air-hammer the casing out. Clean with wire brush, lube up with grease and used a bearing press/c-clamp to insert.

Got a set of barely used Allpro standard leafs for a good price but gonna change out the bushings. Should i just order another set of allpro bushings or is their something better like the ones listed above from wheelers? Also which bushings to use for rear as these show for the forward bushing set?
the allpro ones didnt seem to have the center pin/sleeve just the bushings?

Grey wire and keyless entry. I like stock.
I've got a set of Energy Suspension leaf spring poly bushings you can have if you pay shipping to you. I bought a master set of bushings for my 01 Taco and never used the leaf spring bushings in it as my new Allpro springs came with new ones.

If they don't work, I'll take them. Is it the shackle and front spring eye bushings?
