I thought it was the xm radio antenna

Edit: oh it's on the HOOD?! That's for communicating with alien life forms and douche bros.

That my fellow taco owners is a vortex producer which sends more air into the hood scoop equaling more power !!

Wow, did the previous owner grace your truck with slap-on fender vents as well?

Not :crapstorm: on OP because I am sure all of these "mods" were done before he bought it, but FFS. I don't know if the previous owner missed a single item on the AutoZone chrome aisle.

Chrome ventguards/bug guard, stick on vents, stick on antenna, over-sized brushguard, stick on vinyl graphics....

The good new is OP that when you take that off you will have a pretty good looking truck with a nice bed cap.

I can't believe you guys bought your Tacomas WITHOUT this thing! Turns out it improves MPG and performance, my Tacoma now can go 140 mph and gets 57 miles per gallon in doing so! It also reduces friction on critical engine components and works in conjunction with my tinfoil hat to protect me from surveillance from my microwave oven and other household appliances. However, it doesn't work on my vacuum cleaner as that damned thing is still picking up dirt on me.

Yeah, former owner stuck it on there. It's coming off. The fake vents are probably not long for this world either, nor are those stickers. But it's a nice truck.

There's something to be said for buying an 'old man' truck, you know some punk ass kid didn't beat the snot out of it.

It did until the curb filed a sexual harrassment suit, now I have to park at least 6 inches from the curb due to a restraining order.

Brush guard will stay on... This is deer country, and they do help if your truck ends up having one as a dance partner.

I also like the whatever you call thems on the windows, nice to be able to crack a window when it's raining and not get wet. Functional stuff is fine with me. Non-functional stuff like the antenna to communicate with Planet Dork is right up there with the fake cell phone antennas...remember those?

I have removed the ridiculous faux sharkfin antenna and the faux cooling vents. Truck looks MUCH better now. Considering removing the decals on the doors, also. Need it to be a lot warmer out for that.

WTF...why would someone put fake vents on a Truck? It's not exactly a Buick 8....

If you like it and find function then go for it. It's your truck and what looks good is up to you to decide. I was just commenting on the amount of accessories the previous owner chose, wasn't trying to :crapstorm: on your taste.
