Took it for a 150 mile trip today to do a test run before my four wheeling vacation on the 18th. No problems until I stopped at a store on the way back and it took a bit to get it started back.

Hard start/no start and once you get it cranked you have to pump the gas like it's carbureted and then it runs fine. Going to do a compression test when I return sunday...

 

It's definitely the muffler bearing

 

If only....almost gaurantee the head gasket is about to go

 

Maybe you can just change the cabin air filter?

I don't understand all the Facebook groups popping up. If only we had a place where individuals could go and express their enthusiasm for Tacomas, perhaps a forum where one could ask a question(obviously after using the search function) and get varying levels of opinions, a World of Tacomas where you could whore out your truck and how many mods you have...

there are actually ( or were ) a dozen plus NC based FB Tacoma pages, most are more about ego stroking over actual tech and info, which most of us would rather see. Then again, i think the average age of the folk in this forum is probably double your target group

THIS section of TW is mostly local Raleigh area ( hence the title of thread ) and most of us know each other in some form or another, there are many from down east and out west as well ( the rest of the title )

TW as a whole offers a lot of info and pretty much centralizes most info you'll need.

By all means, have your FB Tacoma fan site, coming into another established forum to advertise "YOUR" new cool place is rather troll like, but then I'm just some bitter old guy that hardly know how to turn the desk top on.
