Okay so I just removed the side steps that came with my truck and removed the 12 screws. Does anyone know where I can buy the original plastic screws that came with the truck? Are these the same universal ones all over the truck?

I'm sure the dealer sells them, but they don't actually do anything useful, so leaving them off is fine unless you want them reinstalled.

The dealer will probably have them for 10 cent a piece. I needed similar plastic parts for a mustang I had years back and they were priced that way.

Could you just reinstall the bolts? Or are you selling the step and bolts together or something.

Was gonna suggest the same thing. Then you don't have to worry about misplacing the bolts.

Woah there. Did you consider OPs "feelings" before replying in such an apathetic manner?

You gotta consider their feelings, just gotta.

I'd never thought to look on Amazon for a whole kit... this makes me so happy. Thank you Jeff.

There are tons of them. I have more retaining clips than I know what to do with... makes things like removing the bumper cover way less stressful. Just rip the shits off and replace them ha

It's like a mixed set. Has a bunch of sizes. Just pick the one that fits. Pretty handy to have.

It'd also be pretty easy to take the bolts to ACE or HomeDepot or Lowes and buy the same size to put in the holes.

Napa would probably have them. They carry a lot of different oem plastic fasteners.

If I remember right they're M8 1.25 x 25mm. I'm sure you could find some plastic threaded plugs at the hardware store.
