I have found out the hard way that if you are trying to leval your 2016 Tacoma sport it is not good to use spacers ...
I tried a 2.5 spacer with the factory shocks and although it looked great but I then first I noticed my upper contol arms looked stressed and my front wheels were sucked in too far and I actually could not turn my 265/70/17s all terrains al the way with out rubbing ! And this felt very bad to drive
I also experienced strange rumbling on parts of the free way and my back of the truck sagged just enough to not look or feel good driving
I was lucky my shop was nice enough to swap me out for 5100 s
And I am completely satisfied !!!!
And I can add upper control arms and build this truck little by little ...
Please take my advise and never use spacers

Thanks for the advice. How much did the 5100s run you? What amount of lift did you get?

Damn, I just got a .75" spacer for a correction lift after I installed a winch bumper, just looking to get back to factory height. Do you think the steering issues were due to it being such a large spacer? I am hoping my .75" doesn't have the same issue... The valving is the same on the OR factory bilsteins vs the 5100's. So I don't think I need to go that far just for a .5" lift. Thoughts?

    That's actually refreshing to hear!

Well, actually because of his alignment being out of whack. Caused by the spacers and not corrected.

Call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road for good guidance. There are various options, and she'll be able to recommend a good one after reviewing your goals with you.

I have a 3" front and 1" back spacer lift and have had no problems whatsoever with my 2017 DCSB Off Road. For sure a spacer lift is not the best way to go, but for me it buys time until I can decide what suspension lift height and brand to go with long term.

I haven't had any issues with rubbing, but I have only done moderate off roading with 275/65/18s tires.

So far my spacer lift has performed above expectations in terms of ride quality, vibrations, handling, etc. I am however concerned about how much the rear squats under load so new rear springs are my priority, even if I have to replace them later for a taller stance.

I don't think if your going to add a small .75 spacer will not be bad my problem was I put a big 2.5 inch spacer with the stock Trd sport shock I personally did not like the way it looked pushing the upper arm down and looking stressed ...and a big chunk showing Im very happy with the look and feel of the 5100s and can actually have a little fun with these much better shocks ... also I can add chaos upper arms To my set up and then do my coilovers so this way you can build what you want and not everything at once
It's only a couple hundred more to have the 5100s installed then just spacers and you are getting a much better shock
