Whirring noise when Pressing Clutch

    I actually thought that maybe the clutch wasn't separating completely, but I wasn't getting any grinding . But then also the sound would disappear if I put the tranny in neutral but would come back when I put in a gear and would die down as the truck lost speed. My shifts felt pretty smooth and easy for the most part.

    Yeah you were hearing stuff spinning in the transmission because the clutch wasn't separating the engine from the transmission enough

    You'll be okay time will tell if anything is damaged in the transmission if it's basically quiet you'll be fine
