    A thing or two...
Everything good here. Rain all weekend and Mon/Tues, so I haven't started painting anything yet. I would have started, but I had to run around yesterday after work and get the mower running and mow today after work. :annoyed: Maybe I can start tomorrow after work, but I've got to do more running around after work first... :notsure:

However, I did get my SPC UCAs today. :woot: Now I just have to decide what I want to do with the rest of the suspension before I install them. :goingcrazy:

I'm thinking of coming out for the meet in F'burg, but I might stay home and work on painting the sliders instead. I'll have to leave around 1-2 pm if I come because I have to be in Waldorf at 4PM, and I maybe heading up to Occoquan after that for some night fishing. :frusty: Too much going on.

wow busy busy but cool you have some good mods waiting. Suspension you'll have to figure out I'm happy with mine although some refer to it as cheap it works well I guess it depends on the person and how much they either have to spend or choose to spend. There are deffinate bennifits to the bigthree it just depends on what yo want to do

Lol. We did set the bar a little high, but teardrops have more room than they appear to have, especially if you go for a 5 or 6 foot wide version. Ours is a five wide with plenty of room for two "not petite" people. A five wide Little Guy (or similar) bought used off CL would have a similar amount of sleeping quarters space, just not all the fancy gee-gaws that make ours special to us.

Besides, I know a "shop" that specializes in teardrop customization and if I put in a good word, they may consider helping someone modify said teardrop to their overlanding specifications.

    Good to know.

I'm really leaning toward adjustable coilovers for the front, so I can match up with whatever the rear ends up at. I'd rather duplicate the stock rake than do level. For the rear, I want to do full replacement springs (Dakars, Deavers, etc) since I have the shell and I'm thinking of building a sleeping platform which will be more constant weight on the back end. I've also been doing some reading online, and I may look into doing a spring under axle setup. From what I've been reading, you can get some good travel out of it, but it's also supposed to help combat axle wrap which will be beneficial when I get around to putting FI on my truck.

Been busy! Drove the new taco back from Ohio on Wed. Already sold the factory running boards from it. Swapped over bedcover and mat, will be putting the ventshades in today and looking for a tint place.

Anyone else going to Foxfield? been on my bucklist since reading 'I hope they serve beer in hell'. I'm going tomorrow.

I had my car tinted over at Action Window Tint in Fredericksburg. They did a great job on it and the price was good.

I paid $335, but I got their best tint. I got 60% in the front and 40% in the rear.

Action uses SunTek tint. They carry three product lines (Carbon, CXP, and CIR). I got the CIR film which offers the best total energy and uv rejection of what they offer, so it will keep the interior cooler.

Here you go. Only picture I've got.

Thanks. The truck I got tinted ages ago in NM. I just had the fronts tinted at 20% to match the factory shading of the rear glass. When I first moved out here, I was worried that being tinted at 20% might be a problem, so I got a quote from Action to strip the tint on there now and redo the front windows. If I'm remembering correctly, it was $150 for the strip and retint with CXP film. It hasn't been an issue yet, so I haven't bothered having the tint changed.

That's the most recent pic I think of my truck. Right after I got it back from the body shop at the end of Feb.
