This is what I did because of what people were saying about gaps at the edges. Worked good tapering forward just past the hoop.

I could have cut less but it's really not that bad.

I found out to late, you definitely want cut way less then instructions state when you go downward after the straight top piece. I cut a little less then the instructions said around the corner edge but you can even go alot less 1/2inch less or even more .I went a 1/4inch less and still have a huge gap not real happy about it.t2.jpg

It looks awesome the only thing that see a problem with is the hoop is way to close to the grill! I couldnt get my SDHQ LED grill brackets to mount because the hoop is to close and you have no room to get the grill on with the brackets on! I broke a tab off my grill trying to muscle it back on! But Dam it looks great ,cant wait to get a winch installed.

My bumper is on it's way and I'm trying to gather as much info as possible and I'm not finding this easy. I don't know what it takes for a moderator to add a new vendor to the vendor section of this site but I personally feel that @SouthernStyleOffRoad should have one by now. I had the same issue and almost broke a tab. Those who haven't installed it but ordered it with a hoop need to be careful. If you watch those tabs it's much easier to get the grill back on.

Caution anyone that will try to use the SDHQ offroad brackets dont order them they are not compatible with this bumper ! I just learned the hard way! Cannot not get the grill back on. It is already a major headache to get the grill off and on with the hoop being way to close you will brake off some bottom tabs on the grill. There is no room what so ever to mount brackets with the grill on so beware! Pretty frustrated with the whole thing time for a beer and rethink this!123.jpg 12.jpg

    Instal grill then bumper :notsure:

Or just loosen bumper to make more room. I have no light bar and couldn't get the grill in so I loosened the bumper and it dropped right in.

(I posted this in the another thread as well but wanted to re-iterate the previous comments in this thread about the gap if you follow the instructions)

Got mine installed and a buddy's over this past weekend. Overall these bumpers are awesome, and the install is relatively straightforward. The bumper packaging, customer service, and product are LEGIT. I do want to point out something that I think SSO should probably address. I am always lurking on the forums and not doing enough sharing of my own experiences that could probably help a ton of others, so here's one:

Here's what happens when you follow SSO Instructions, at least in my experience: a gap that I don't really care too much about by I know many might have an issue:

...and here's what I recommend instead, as I successfully executed a cut line modification and achieved a "gap-less" install on a friend's truck (simply taper the cut line about 1/4" back from the SSO instructions on each side of the lip before it angles/curves down to the ground as shown by the black marker:

    Some completed pics:

Overall we were both stoked with the installs and more than happy with these purchases!

    License Plate Mount I used:

I bought two of these clamps:
Allstar Performance ALL10460 Accessory Clamp, 1-5/8"
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JPBAE6U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I also had to buy longer bolts, Qty 4x of 1/4"-20, to make these clamps work because the powdercoating was so thick on the 1-5/8" tubing. I used the existing holes in the license plate, but the license plate covers up the 20" light cutout by a few millimeters, so I may re-position the license plate upwards by drilling new holes in the license plate. Overall I don't think this is the best solution, especially for the price of ~$42 for two clamps. Furthermore the grill is more difficult to remove now because there isn't much clearance between the clamps and the grill to move the grill forward and release the clips at the bottom.

Nonetheless my infamous [FALKEN] WLDPEAK plate is mounted, and I'm a happy camper.
    Cheers.
