Picking up a used snugtop for our 02 Double Cab. Does the OEM Toyota bedliner need to be cut to accommodate the Snugtop? Snugtop comes with 4 universal clamps and not the original Snugtop ones if that makes a difference.

    Thanks,

    Chris

Can't speak to Snugtop but for my Leer 100r, I removed the Toyota over the rail liner and swapped in a Toyota under the rail. No issues. if you have an over the rail, you might have to cut a few holes to accommodate the clamps.

If you haven't already, might want to consider a suspension update. Once I had my leer on for a couple of weeks, I noticed a slight bit of sag in the rear. I'm looking at updating to Bilstein 5100's front and rear along with an AAL. I don't want anymore than a 1" lift but definitely want to eliminate that sag from the weight of the shell.

Also think about adding a transmission cooler.

    Enjoy your snugtop!
