what would be your recommendations for a 4/5 lift for a prerunner without spending a fortune. Currently I have all stock suspension except for bilstein 5100s on the front. I never off-road my truck. All highway miles and I commute around 110 miles during the week. I really like the way sandjunkie Tacoma looks. Mine is same color and I have the ballistic wheels. I'm definitely ready for something stronger on the rear. I race lawnmowers and a small trailer really brings that rear end down.

Chad must be sleeping. He'll be on tomorrow and will totally sell you on the spindles.

Thanks. Been reading up on spindles looks like that's a good route for prerunner. Everyone around here is using spacers and I don't feel like that is the best route. Seems like front end would wear a lot more. So if I got spindles on the front what is recommended for the back. These stock springs are weak. Thanks for comments!

Don't do anything if you are on a budget. Very simple! You spent 30g on a truck and you want economize with minimal investment in aftermarket suspension mods would be a bad decision. Get a realistic budget then research.

All I said is I didn't want to spend a fortune. I didn't give an amount. If I wanted the minimal amount then I wouldn't be considering spindles.

Spindles is just a small piece of the investment.

Spindles! They are a great option and you wont NEED aftermarket UCAs

What leaf springs would pair well with the spindles? I assume i could use the bilstein with spindles up front but I would need new shocks for the rear. Anything else to keep everything from having more wear.

You seem to have your goals figured out.

Call Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road and she'll get you some options to choose from.

    No use overthinking this thing.

For me with what you describe, no lift, airbags for the hauling.

^^^ I agree with this. A 4" lift will require larger tires(don't skip leg day). You tow on the highway frequently so you're better off either upgrading the leafs or getting bags.

Of course we don't always go with the most sensible plan so if you MUST lift I'd say spindles are your best bet and you can keep your front 5100's at the stock setting.

I would keep those 5100's as long as they are mid to low miles, get some Maxtracs for the front with included brake lines @HeadStrong Off-Road , get an OME leaf pack for the rear and some bags if you can find them cheaper, and call it a day. And if you have driveline vibrations, either do a carrier drop (which I wouldn't suggest) or go 1 piece.
