    Yes to your entire post.
It was nice to hear about this matter in a forum where discussion was taking place, as opposed to the news or a letter.
TW has 155k members, thinking only a small percentage post, and an even smaller percentage post often.
We do hear about most issues, e.g. rear howling/ failing way in advance of non forum readers- totally worth the time spent here for that alone.
Glad to be here, glad to own a 3rd gen, glad to breath air, etc....

it doesn't reflect that in the sales of 3rd GEN Tacomas, they outsell all mid sized v6 powered pickups in the same classification, in fact in 2016 it out sold Chevy canyon and Colorado combined, if the Tacomas are so bad then the others are much worse based on consumers calculations I guess all those owners are not informed to how bad the Tacoma is.

I doubt you will see a slow down in the purchasing of the 3rd GEN all these bugs are getting worked out and there will be an increase in sales of them thru the years to come for those who want a v6 mid size, basically the competition cannot come up with anything better to challenge them. only other new challenger is the Ford Ranger whenever that comes out, and their track record is abysmal.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to the late 90s. It never even crossed my mind to use the internet to look up problems on my gen1. I would just get the occasional recall notice in the mail and usually ingnore it...

Product reliability and sales will eventually catch up with one another. The competition is getting more heated and each generation of Tacoma reliability is getting worse than the last.

http://www.torquenews.com/1083/2016-toyota-tacoma-sales-colorado-down-diesel-doesn-t-help this article states that 2016 Toyota Tacoma out sold ALL OTHER COMPETITION COMBINED in a Mid sized v6 Diesel or Gas engine, just goes to show how bad the competitions vehicles are as compared to Tacoma, so all this about the lowering of quality really applies to the competition not Toyota since they are getting their asses handed to them in sales.

Had my 10k service today and they inspected for the recall on my 16 sport. No leaking, retorqued the bolts, and I was on my way.

U said they couldn't come up with something to challenge them... diesel colorados do that, this combined with decreased dependability is not good for Toyota
