Replaced my worn out 3.4 with a JDM motor. Motor starts and runs fine, but now the transmission wont move when everything is back in the truck.

I did not do anything to the hydraulics of the clutch. Just undid the slave from the transmission. I hear the transmission going into gear smoothly, but when the clutch pedal is released it doesnt move.

When the transmission is out of the truck, I can put it in gear and the outputs all move normally. I drove the truck into the garage to do this swap. New throwout bearing, OEM replacement on that. Clutch only has about 2000 miles on it.

Any suggestions? What am I missing here?

Did you transfer the flywheel from the old engine to the new one?

I did, the new engine came from a car with an automatic transmission on it. I dont think where the flywheel mounts is any different?

i doubt they made 2 different engines based off of automatic or manual. you probably didn't reassemble the clutch properly. remove the inspection cover and take a pic of what's inside close up

If it were something wrong with hydraulics or t/o bearing I would think you wouldn't be able to disengage clutch? Something is stopping disc from engaging, or, you did something I would do and forget to install driveshaft and completely overlooked it. I've done some stupid stuff because I was in a hurry. If not have domeonevpush on clutch and watch thru inspection plate. Good luck.
