I'm glad this thread exists... i don't feel as alone now when I get excited to drive my truck just cuz it's a stick hah... I don't get why the trd knob looks so huge in pics ... I may try some diff shift knobs out now that I got the boot figured out.

Funny. I got my truck back 2 days ago from the dealer for my clutch problem. The porter guy that brings you your vehicle from the service lot didn't know how to drive stick and asked me if I wanted to drive it out myself. Lol

To avoid the clunk I usually let the clutch out slowly at around 17-1900 rpm if on the freeway. I also add some gas if the RPMs drop too much between the shifting.

Was hearing a spinning bearing type noise when pressing the clutch pedal. I took it to a tranny shop for a consultation first then to the dealer. The dealer technician found an overtightened pressure plate bolt and hot spots on the fly wheel. It was probably preventing the clutch from disengaging completely and was making the transmission continue to spin even when pressing the pedal which was probably the noise i was hearing.

I got a new clutch, pressure plate, bolts, flywheel, and throw-out bearing. I made a thread on this issue actually.

Hi guys. Anybody that may be interested. Longo Toyota near LA currently has a MGM TRD Sport Access Cab w/ 6-Speed Manual and tonneau cover. You won't find it on their site yet but I know they have it because it was a special order for me but I ended buying my Super White instead. For obvious reasons I can't buy that truck anymore but if anyone wants it, just call them and ask for Bryan and then mention my name as "Luis"
