It is difficult for me to tell you, but appears that the only big in this truck are those tires, and the stock blistein can be bearly seen, I looks lifted.

But really Im unsure about it.

And after the Dakars (leak pack), did you include anything else to strengthen the rear suspension? Did you add something to the front to level the truck?

How many leafs has the Dakars included in the kit for each side?

    Thanks,

What a BIG difference, Do you know if there is any sale on Dakar's?
What is included in the OME 886 setup?
Coils, Blistein 5100's? Any special sale going on?

Believe me, I have searched these two before and at that time I was so confused on what directions to follow, but now I think I'm getting close based on your experience and your application.

Thanks again for all your information.

Silverback, great pics. Those Leaf Springs look like they should handle what I am wanting... What is the Tongue weight on your Trailer? do you Carry anything in the back of your truck when towing? and you are not using Bags or runner stops or anyhting.. just the Dakars?

I am VERY glad you mentioned about the 886 vs 885.. I do not plan on changing the bumper. :)

That's right, I forgot you told me. The Dakars look right to me.. I would be very interested to see what kind of sag you get with them. Great looking Family of Toyotas you have.. :D

Not the greatest tow vehicle in the world but I live minutes from the lake so it isn't a biggie. I'll get a picture of them together. I'd really like to order some custom green TRD decals to match the boat!

not a lot of sag... the OME leaf strings are pretty stiff. I'd say my set-up is probably close to 4,500+lbs. I actually just picked up this boat last week and haven't towed it much yet. Pulling a 17' duck boat it is like there is nothing back there.

Ouch! That is a rough argument! Mine just wants to ensure that we can still haul around the (future) kids. I told her that by lifting it - that I could not only haul the (future) kids around - but do it better and safer in the snow, heavy rains/storms, and muddy washed out roads. :)

    She agreed. :D

but theres no air in the bags.5 lbs is just to stop the chaffing.i usually run 18-20lbs when towing.i havent found any problems on the highway at speeds up to110 km/hr or 60 mph,it does slow down some on the hills but not to much and it is to be expected

Yeah, I noticed that.. and the TRD shocks.. it just didn't look lifted to me, maybe it's the tire size. Either way, I settled on 5100's.. Maybe Santa Claus will leave them under the tree..

Complete OME 3" lift with Dakar Leaf Pack and Timbren Springs
Here's a couple of pics of the long awaited upgrade to my truck. It's a 3" OME with Dakkar 2.75 leaf pack and Timbren spring system along with Light Racing UCA'S. After endless hours of reading this forum and research I called ARB and they directed me to Wheelers Off Road where Taco Dan led me to this setup that works amazing for my application. I hope these pictures help in some of your decision making. I'm towing a 2016 Palomino Palomini 177bh with off-road package. 2800 lb. dry weight and 3500 lbs fully loaded and ready to camp. I have just over 400 lbs of tounge weight due to upgraded queen size mattress. I wanted the nice look of the lift kit but my ultimate goal was efficiency in towing and to eliminate rear sag.

Your setup looks great! What size tires are you running? I lifted mine 3"s a year ago and added firestone bags and daystar cradles. I'm still on stock rubber (265 70r16) and am curious how much a larger tire will affect towing performance. As of now Im thinking of just keeping it a little more practical with a 265 75r16MT. I'd love to run 255 85s or 285 75s but I think the larger rubber and travel trailer will be a bit too much for the V6.

That's a super nice setup you have there. I'm running 265/70 17 BFG KO2 . I've had them on for 33k miles now and they are still at 10-11 on the depth chart . These tires will not wear out . I'm probably going to go with a 285/70 17 next just to fill the wheel well a little more but I'll definitely be staying with the KO2s . I'm very pleased with them . I'm not sure about how it's going to effect my towing yet because I just had the lift installed yesterday. We have a trip coming up soon and I'll have a better idea then . What's the weight of your Jayco ?
