CAN ANYONE HELP WITH DIRECT TV

Alright guys, I've got another problem. I've got directtv in my house and in my parents house which is a quarter mile away or whatever. Before we upgraded we were able to get it at both houses with no problem. I guess you can say that we were cheating the system. . Now that we have the new genie mini pieces of crap the house with out the main genie wont get shit. Please tell me someone has a way to fix this.

 

Yeah not much you can do. Those need the main unit. There are other options out there.

 

I live in the mountains above rancho cucamonga in california, and there are only 2 maybe 3 providers that are up here

 

Well you could do a sling box. Or ask the provider for different style of boxes.

Sling box you hook up the Gini where the main house is then hook up sling box to it. Then you have Apple TV or Ruku or what ever you can have apps on and dl the sling app and watch tv. It's a pain but it works

You can get them at bestbuy but I'm telling you there a pain to hook up. Done a few. Google it.. read up on it. Good internet connection is required.

oh really, thats shitty. because i dont have a solid internet. I only have one of those verizon hotspot deals. SO im sure that wont cut it

 

paying for cable is over rated. They pay an arm and a dick just to get 100 basic and local channels. If i can cheat them why not, they are cheating many of other people out there out of their money.

 

If you were paying your fair share, it wouldn't be so expensive for everyone else.

If you've got a genie, and clients there's no way to cheat the system like you use to. The clients rely on that genie for everything

You could cheat it by changing boxes though. Put the genie plus how many ever clients you need in one house. The other house you need to get h25 boxes for.(problem with this is your gonna get High def but no dvr) You'll have to specifically request these boxes. Your also gonna need somebody to put you up another slimline dish at the 2nd house plus a power inserter and a slimline splitter

In order for both tv's to work with sling, don't you need both tv's on the same channel?

can't have one channel here and another channel there?
