I have TONS of paperwork, pictures of the build, maintenance records, and all that!

A guy has trouble with his 2017 tacoma, posts about the problems and now he needs therapy? You're basically saying I am a lunatic. Thanks a lot for the personal attack.

This isn't the first time I've been on a forum. I'm on several sports forums and was on frontier forum before too. The people on the frontier forums aren't nearly as myopic form my experience either.

Sold a Mazda in the classifieds (long time ago!). Saw it a couple of months later at a junkyard with the front end crushed!

 

No issues with guys talking problems. Yours seems like a desperate need for attention and a lot of dramatic word vomit. In every thread you can find.

TRD Sport not holding resale value as well as an OR.... is that statement based on fact or some "idea" of fact?

I can't see a locking rear diff helping the depreciation/resale factor much if anything.

haha It Is indeed a ridgeline. It WAS my buddies, he actually just traded it for an F150

 

Since that's what they 'gave you', are you suggesting that if you had called off the deal and offered to sell them your truck for that price, that they'd have written you a check?

 

I doubt it.. I'm sure they gave me $38,500 but, some of that money probably came from the new truck I was purchasing and they just shuffled some numbers around.

They originally offered me $35,500 and I just wouldn't do that. they came up to $38,500 but then were pretty solid on the new trucks price.

 

Still on the lot, saw it sitting out there yesterday! Are you from MS?

 

Nope! I'm in North Carolina, the dealer I traded it to sent it to Mississippi.

Still on the lot!? I called and they said they sold it! Damn haha

You know that old saying.... battle of wits and all that jazz.... Remember that one legged guy a few month's back... I'm sorta seeing that same result... in my crystal ball.

 

It's a clean truck brother! I still am waiting to pull the trigger on a Tacoma and get rid of the Runner; tried to talk them into parting out your suspension for me

 

Haha there's tons of goodies in that truck. I'm sure they're not gonna give anything off it. They paid some decent money for it. Haha

I can't imagine they would take that truck directly to auction. Dealerships around me like to have a modded truck to display front and center to get attention. It works on me everytime LOL.

Alot of dealerships either have an off site "car lot" or have relationships with an off site "car lot". My dad calls these lots the "buy here/pay here" lots. The kind of places where "you're jobs you're credit" and then put you in a 23% interest loan.

 

Agreed. The salesman was telling me a story about how back in the day, the owner of the dealership was the go to guy, and could any car for anyone. This was before the internet, so it was kinda a big deal. My guess is he still likes to be that guy, and knew someone looking for a truck similar to this.

 

Alot of times dealers don't want the liability/headache of dealing with a modified vehicle so they send it straight to auction. Especially if your within a few hundo miles of Manheim

 

I traded it in in Mobile, AL. There's a pretty good market for off road trucks down in that area.
