Has anyone had any experience with the Toyota Connected Vehicle Services?

I recieved a service notice from my local dealer and wondered how they knew my mileage almost dead on. I had not been in to the dealership lately, but they knew.

I figured my truck must have some wireless connection to the Toyota company.

I did a little searching and found

Connected Vehicle Services Privacy and Protection Notice

It says my truck, or any other Toyota is automatically connected to their data base if we do not opt out of it. At the end of the notice it gives a phone number to opt out of the program.

I really do not want to be monitored every where i go and everything I do.

I'll have to look into this. I don't remember if I ever saw anything about opting out. I do get service notices from Toyota and the dealer but thought they were just guesstimates because they were not that close.
