That's too bad man, have you considered a Ridgeline?

Seriously though, it makes sense to wait for the recall letters to be mailed out so it gives the dealers a chance to get all the supplies and things.

OP's thread here helped me decide that.

This is why I traded my 16 plus $750 for a 4Runner SR5 Premium, Nice to be back in the 4.0 with a smooth transmission. If only they shared the same interior of the new Tacoma. I just got tired of the little issues and now recalls.......Not like any previous Tacoma, I owned and I had 4 of them over the years. Toyota dropped the reliability ball with the 16 IMO.

Finally dumped mine for a 4Runner. Tired of all the issues, feels like something made by GM

He's been helpful as well though. I'd be pissed if I was putting up with the stuff he's described.

NO more violins here. I don't have to deal with the issues and lack of dealer support on the 16, Dealers are bewildered by it, The 4Runner is far more solid. YEah I am losing 4 MPG but I have a Fiat 124 that gets 35 MPG if that becomes an issue. I really tried to like the Tacoma, But bearing noise, slushy transmission, Strange engine characteristics, howls and whining bearings....I tried since October to like it but things kept popping up. Thankfully I got a great deal on the Taco so I could get into a 7k mile used16 4Runner with $750 They got my 7K mile Taco. I am waiting for another grand for the VSC cancellation.

So put your violin away Sparky and bring out the full band..I am celebrating.

With fuel at $2.03 here, I don't mind the 4Runners 4.0 19MPG. I had to try hard to get 21.5 out of the Tacoma. and that was in the economy mode.
