I started this thread https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-next-gen-transmissions-will-be-smarter.489083/ last night and this has me thinking about a current possible modification to help our stupid transmission get smarter.

I am buying a tilt switch, cost is about $100. It is the same type of part used in forklifts for example to warn you that you may tip over. https://www.leveldevelopments.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/documents/ETS-Tilt-Switch.pdf

The idea is to connect it to the ECT switch and everytime I climb a hill the ECT is activated, return to flat land and it goes off. I have a call into the company to see if I can deactivate the minus angle for down hill.

Stay tuned as it may take a week to make this all happen.

You know the folder file button on lower right of steering wheel? I never used that button and wanted to connect the ect to that button or reprogram the tranny to go to S5 instead of S4 when I flip it over. It be great to program the tranny not to go in 6th gear below 55 mph something like that.
