I took off the brackets that hold the throttle cables and when I reattached it all it idled around 3k. I got the idle down to normal but I fiddled with the other 2 in attempt to fix the idle.

Can someone tell me how many threads or the measurements of threads are supposed to be showing?

I know one is for the transmission but not sure of the other cable is.

After this I noticed my rpm' are a little high at 40-50 mph.

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance

I should also add my CEL came on right after this happened. Not sure if it's related but I'll have it scanned in the morning.

The light on and your idle problem are probably related. Why did you have the brackets off to start with?

2002 isn't drive by wire correct? If you unhook cables will it go back to idling fine?

It seems to be idling find now. I just need to know what the 3 cables do. I'm not sure which is the throttle cable.

Adjusting the nut on the cable that goes to the CC box on the passenger side fender made the idle go down. Doesn't make sense to me so I was hoping someone could tell me what each cable does and where the nuts should be so it's adjusted correctly.

My new CEL was a "small leak" I'm assuming that's related to the charcoal canister code I got awhile back but haven't fixed yet.

No idea if this helps, but here are some pages from the 98-2000 FSM Not sure if the 2002 design is completely different...
