Sorry for such a stupid question. My new 2017 TRD ORDCSB with premium tech package, should the tailgate lock when I lock the door either with the fob or pressing the drivers door handle? Or do I have to use the key? I thought it was auto or power locking but it's not locking.

    None as of yet
some dealers add it as an option but most are locked with the key only. If the dealer didn't install one on yours you can pick up a pop & lock off Amazon for about $80 and there are a couple of write ups on here about how to install them.

Wouldn't it be nice if a 35k truck built in 2017 came with power lock tailgate? haha

Gotta use the key. It's a pain with the tiny ass key in the key fob.

I heard they started offering it as an option. Like many others on the forum I went with the pop & lock. One of the best things i've done so far LOL.
