What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I love mine. Still a little noisy but I think it boosts my low end power slightly. I would not swear to 15 hp but it does give better throttle response when I jump on the throttle. Had mine 6-8 months.

It is very loud at wide open throttle. Similar to a 60's muscle car with a huge 4 barrel and no air filter. You get used to it. It is because the airbox has an open top so no sound insulation. I like it and have no plans of changing it.

 

Did a 20k service today, oil/filter change and actually rotate tires and inspect, check rear-diff again, no leaks woohoo!

I avoided making a mess by using this handy gadget, since I swapped my plastic oil filter cap for the OEM aluminum, it was harder to push that plastic oil release valve and this one makes my life easier.




But I did find what seems excessive serpentine belt material on idler pullers. more so than on my other toy engines I’ve had.
So I’m wondering if its on account of this higher rev engine or cheap belt material, belt tension seems ok

 

You know "up to 15 HP" means 0 to 15. So no increase unfortunately fits within that statement.

 

Dealer called they finally got my TRD PRO grill in! So tomorrow they are dropping it off at my work and I'm going to put it on. I been waiting a long time for this

Finally had time to get these uploaded... got my basically new cheap Craigslist jeep take off tires mounted up, 265/70/17 ko2 (I guess I'm a girl-bro now haaaa)

They almost look as tall as the worn down 33x12.5 duratracs on my Exploder, just a lot skinnier

5 tires for 75 a piece with only 400 miles, not bad. Hard to tell from the pics but even this small bump up in size looks much better
