    This is 100% true. No more huge racks for me. I prefer those that fit the body, it just looks better/more proportional and they don't flop around when things get rough.

    I was in the same boat with my 09 Sport... until I drove the third gen. Ugggh. Just horrible power train behavior. If you get the itch again be sure to drive one before you make a big mistake.

    To be fair if he asked on the 3rd gen a full half of them would tell him to pass on it...

    ...one quarter would tell him to get a full size...

    ...most of the rest would curse the other 3/4 and say "fake news" over and over again...

    ...then thread locked and a few bans.

    Absolutely not. You have another 100-150k left in your truck at least if taken care of properly.

    Greatest feeling ever is having a reliable truck and no truck payment

    Edit: I'd say no even if it were a 2nd Gen, unless you were loaded. 3rd Gen? definitely not

    I'm gonna pass. No vehicle payment, and in a year I can be debt free other than my house payment. Then I'll save for a good down payment and let Toyota iron out the current issues with the new Gen.

    I did the same last week. Was gitting a oil change and made the mistake of getting close to a loaded TRD OR in Quicksand. I was in love... until I drove it. Awful transmission. I can't believe they got done building them and said "Yep, everything's perfect! Send um' out!"

    I'm the same way but this was the 1st time I actually went and looked.


    Well here's the issue with that logic. At some point I'm going to have to have a new truck and the options are switch brands or go with what is in current production. This truck has been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned so I'm more than likely going to stay with Toyota. Probably Tacoma but possibly a Tundra. And I do think Toyota is going to iron out the issues as much as possible.
