    Hi everyone. I'm Tap.

    I have a 2007 taco
    3" lift
265 75 16 mud and 265 75 16 street tires (to keep the wife happy on trips)

I did the cheap lift :( aluminum coil spacers front, AAL rear) and some cheap-o super aggressive tires from ebay.

Swapped to street tires after deer season, realized the noise was not the tires. 2.5 degree pinion shims in rear which helped tremendously. still think I may need a little bit of carrier bearing drop too so my angles are correct per spicer. Now about to tackle the front diff bushing. \

Other than that I: hunt, fish, collect guns, reload ammo, target shoot, tactical shooting, wood work, construction, mild grease monkey, active military for 17 yrs, and I like long walks on the beach.

Thank you for the forums. This place is such a great resource for information.

Wanna see pics of that size tire on a Tacoma, don't think it's possible.

    Haha, well, I don't know if it's possible or not. But I did type it wrong. 265 75 16, not 365 75 16!

So I see y'all are picture driven and entertained. Me too!!! Here is my truck as it sits today. Street tires and all. 3" in the front and 2" (I think) in the rear. I did not want it "level". I see so many leveled trucks looking like Cheech and Chong mobiles. I use this as a truck, it hauls, tows, and works. I hate when the rear end is squatted below level when I tow my boat :)

    Next things to do are:
    1. ECGS bushing (still need an answer on if a normal slide hammer and bearing puller kit will work, or do you HAVE to use the ECGS $60 tool?)
    2. carrier bearing drop
    3. new headlights
    4. get some cheap take off rims to put my mud tires back on.

That's about it. Love this truck.
