cutting ARB bumper

has anyone here cut the ARB bumper where the tires are? if so could you post some pics so i can have some ideas how i should cut mine.. Thanks!

There is one persons cuts I liked best, but I can't find the picture of anymore. Search and you will find some that cut round(which I don't like), and other ways.

ARB Bumper cut project

The goal:

to cut my damn ARB bumper back so i am not shredding my damn tires on every large compression

The plan:

using a cutting wheel, cut along the white line to create ample space for my tire to travel

with the help of my buddy jace, we marked in from the bottom as far as the bumper structure would allow us (if you have an ARB look behind the bumper on the bottom and you will see additional structuring at a certain point that would be hard to cut through and keep the integrity of the bumper).

Then using a small metal ruler, i place the ruler within the fender flare near the bumper to mimic the curve of the fender to make a smooth transition (important to have a ruler that can bend and use your best judgment to continue the arc down to the bumper). this established the upper cutting point.

then to connect the dots, i took a metal coat hanger and (while still in one piece) used the long straight bottom part of the hanger to make a curve mimicking the curve of the tire. This served as a template for the desired arc.

use a paint pen and there ya go, a line to follow when trimming your bumper....

after pics to follow, cutting expected to go down this afternoon after work
