If you cannot drive with 90 hp, 900 won't help.

I've had big block fords, turbo charged german. Nothing drove like my miata. That was my favorite car to drive. Nothing like putting it into hairpins at 40/50 mph and pushing out the turn at the apex. Just light enough to toss into a turn and be thrown back out like a slingshot from the apex.

Nothing like track days when a 350 or mustang would take off on the straighaway, and I would just go in to the turn at close to full speed, come out of the turn faster and have so much lead that all the horses didn't matter. Also helped that the miata had no traction nannies when I had it. I bought in 2003 and didn't even have ABS required back then. 141 HP at 2500 lbs was all you needed.

Track days were great, except you had to run with the top down and wear a helmet. But those were ok inconveniences.

S2000 was just too much output at too high RPM but that was a different kind of fun. I just couldn't get used to it or have the skill to really master driving it like the miata. Miata was SO damn forgiving.

takes balls to drive a "gay" car. Takes even more balls to live with yourself after one beats you on track days with his "gay" car

    93. I daily the car and drive to clients offices few times a week. I may do flex fuel down the line (but the kit is another $700 bucks which I don't want to spend on it) so I'm not tethered to E85 and trying to hunt down a station every 3 miles lol. Plus for my goals, 93 is perfectly fine and easily attainable.

LOL. I figured you either had a kit you wanted to sell or you worked for a shop (or both).

Miata's are like CRX's, they have little power but handle like a champ. I'd rock one especially if it had 13B in it. :burnrubber:

In the tight, rocky, twisty stuff you might have a point about the raptors. Once clear of those sections, those trucks left me for dead. Different uses.

Miata's are fantastic cars. If you don't think so, you haven't driven one.

Welcome to the Tacoma club. It will feel as tight at 100k as it does right now... you'll really appreciate that resale too!

Shit where that pack goes, would you need it? I think you might be the only guy to fit on the trail.
