Yep, that's what I wear. My in laws own a sailboat, so it comes in handy when I go out with them.

I've only ever dove into a couple desktops so I am completely talking out of my ass here. But depending on the laptop, I've heard a lot only run integrated graphics which are either part of the cpu or mobo. Long story short, you're better off buying a replacement if this is the case

 

yeah, but did he unplug the laptop and count to 15 then plug it back in?

 

If you unplug the laptop, remove the battery and charger, hold the power button for like 30 seconds. Then let go of the power button, plug everything back in and give it a shot.

Haha, I figured as much, the steps I provided will reset the BIOS.

Sometimes you'll need to do it on a desktop too when there's a power surge or something and you have no video when turning the computer back on. Worth a shot.

 

MIL thought I was an IT God when I upgraded her internet and 10 year old modem. I'm like, uhhhhh, ok, your $60/mo ATT internet was shitty, with the modem it basically made it dialup lol. All I did was send her links to Comcast and Amazon for a new modem.

 

I do that with my wife when things progress too quickly. Doesn't work.

and my secret is munch breaks when things are progressing too fast. but when its a wife you just let it go, tell her to not let another month pass between and then cuddle a few extra minutes more...

She's not here and wouldn't care. She has a good sense of humor and my posts are mostly self deprecating.

I always keep a tube of Pringles on the nightstand for munch breaks. Wait, that's probably not what your talking about...
