I have a 2009 dclb sr5 sport and its either my parking lights or drl that dont work. Its the amber lense closest to the grill on both headlights that doesnt light up but the turn signals do work. I just replaced the outer bulbs thats are amber themselves today and now they work. They were burnt slap up but i still dont understand why the other ones dont come on with them. Ive seen numerous other 2nd gens that have both of the lights on in each headlight going down the road so i know they should work. It may be a simple mistake on my part but i really want to figure out why they dont work. Again its the amber lense ones closest to the grill that dont come on when i turn the lights to the first position or every except when the turn signals are one. anyone know what the problem could be?

Actually the lense isnt amber its the bulb just to clarify that. I was thinking it was an amber lense. Heres a pic of the one im talking about.

It sounds like your truck dind't come from the factory with the drl option. My 07 didn't either but I bought the oem relay / wiring and installed it myself. IIRC, it was plug and play install on or near the fuse panel under the driverside lower dash.
Search the fourm for the part numbers and you should be good to go.

If your truck is an 09 it shouldve come from the factory with drls.. they added this in 09+ models. Maybe your truck is a mid year 08 model and thats why you dont have them? This is interesting.. subbed for outcome
