To run an amp you will need a LOC or Digital Processor. The sub will go somewhere in the back seat area or there may be one that can go under the front seat, I'm not really sure on an AC. The Audio section is the best place to look for options and answers to all of your questions. https://www.tacomaworld.com/forums/audio-video.12/

If you get an amp that accepts speaker level outputs you won't need a LOC or Digital Processor. I have an Arc Audio amp and it works/sounds great.

I installed the amp behind the rear seat, ran a speedwire cable from the HU to the amp and new speaker wire from the amp to the speakers. I didn't install a sub but most install them behind the rear seat. Yes, the audio forum section is the place to go, some good tutorials and info.

Thanks for the responses...... I was hoping for a plug and play option, but guess that's not gonna happen with keeping the stock HU. I might have to get a shop to look into it $$$$$$$. I've checked the audio forum and agreed there's a lot of stuff there to look at!! Thanks for the Arc Audio Amp idea zinger-I'll check it out too.
Thanks again and have a good day!!
