I put a 2 1/2" lift infront and 1 1/2" in back. Now my truck shakes at all speeds even when I brake. It's a RTZ lift kit. Does anybody know what could cause this. I've heard that it could be the drive shaft just wanna make sure before spending the money on it. Thanks in adavance to anybody that can help!

I see in your post that you do not mention getting an alignment after doing the lift, which is definitely required after doing a front lift, and is most likely why your having problems with shaking.

Who did the lift install, you or a shop, for if it was a shop they should have either told you to get an alignment if they weren't equipped to perform it, or performed it if they are equipped to do alignment's.

Did you put new wheels or tires on at the same time? if so , get them rebalanced first. Also do you feel the shake in the steering wheel or on the bottom of the seat under your butt?

Me and my dad put it on and I did get an alignment done after. The specs are perfect on it.

Look at my post above an answer It , also if you bring it back to the same alignment shop, the technician will probably drive it for you and help diagnose the shake since the alignment came out right.

Is it vibrating or shaking or both? It could be a TON of different things. Please post a link to your exact lift kit you used. What size wheels and tires are you running? What OTHER mods have you done to your truck to wheels, tires or suspension? It could be something as simple as a tire out of balance.

Check axle shims, describe the vibration. If it is intermittent every few seconds kinda and feels like it is up front when you get too far over on the interstate could be the needle bearing. Also saw alignment mentioned, it's possible that could cause vibration. Check out the ECGS bushing

    Did it do it immediately?

Double check driveline angles. Google spicer u joints and go to their website. They have a manual on how to do it and suggested angles.

    Rule that out too.

Due to symptom of steering wheel shaking badly I think a wheel weight may have fell off , or bad tire may have shifted belt, you can check to see if the weights are still on the rim by looking. It's Free also. If all rims have weights I would do below.

    1. Bring back to alignment shop and see what they think.
    2. If he says tires, take them back and get rebalanced.
    3. Or If you have your factory wheels and tires. You can put two on front and see if shaking stops, if not put two on the back and see if it stops. Mark the tires left and right and front and back to know which ones are the trouble. I'm about 1000% sure it is tire balance issue.
Most people (high 90%) when they put lifts they also put tires or rims. So if shake or vibration happens they are not sure what caused it. I normally do separately, just takes more time and work. Good luck , don't get discouraged, you will find the problem.
