Saw a thread here speaking of adding spacers under the rear driver's seat mounts to raise the seating position, I have not been wild about the seating height since I first drove the truck. Looked simple enough so I made a couple spacers of 1-1/4" aluminum rod, 32 mm high with an 11 mm bore, and got a couple of M10 x 1.25 x 60 class 10.9 flange head bolts with hardened washers from Ace Hardware--slap 'em in, done. Much better, getting my backside up another 1-1/4" and out of the OEM "hole" makes it much more comfortable...

    Spacer and new bolt (the OEM bolts have a tapered 8 mm x 1.25 threaded nose, no doubt for ease of assembly, I just turned the nose to 8 mm;
which helped quite a bit in getting things lined up--too much hassle to taper thread the end:

27 lb·ft -- not invisible but not in-your-face either; someday if I get ambitious or bored I may make some hardwood blocks to pretty it up a bit.
    I rarely have passengers anyway:

Nice man, I have always loved this car. I debate selling it a lot, for something more current, but I just love how unique it is. I enjoy having something that isn't so commonplace in the car world.

GTO is an 04, QSM (obviously) with red interior. its a 6 speed. I have a few mods:
-full JBA exhaust (ceramic coated shorties and high flow cats)
-full suspension with Lovell's shocks and King Springs, dropped about an inch
    -Mavman colormatched lip spoiler
-19 inch VMR VB'3 wheels in hyperblack, staggered 8.5 up front 9.5 out back
    -05 hood, 05 rear bumper

I have replica SAP grills to install, within a few weeks. In all honesty, it sat untouched for 2 years. I only went to start it because we were moving and I had to get it to the new house. A new battery and it fired right up, no problems. I need to fix the E-brake (won't stay engaged) and driver's window (won't roll down), but I'm happy to be driving it again.

Here's a couple pics, one has the old OEM 18's, I haven't gotten many at all in its current form lol.

I like the wheels. Very popular on GTOs.

I had the same problem with my parking brake. I wish I could remember exactly what the fix was, but I remember it being easy. Once you get the console around it pulled away, you'll be able to figure it out.

Are you on ls1gto.com, by chance?

    Oh, ummm, on topic....

I am transporting some chili piquin pepper plants home today, then giving it a quick rinse and taking the wife out on the town sans kids.

yup, I'm on ls1gto, same username as here actually. I've heard the brake is an easy fix, just need to get around to it.

On topic: taking the truck to Lowes and picking up some concrete pavers. Gotta throw them under the fences so my dog doesn't tunnel out lol

When I get these bilsteins and OME coilovers in to a 2.5" lift, do I need a diff drop? Will that screw up my skid plates that I just put on?

Don't need a diff drop, but if you did it would probably screw up the skids you just put on
