    Head unit. That's it.

    That's my point.

Ford needs to compete in that market. They have top notch engineers, software, and funds.

They could make a bare bones mustang and upgrade the performance parts and compete.

I don't think they will get there unless they go back to a pushrod engine. OHC/DOHC are just too expensive. They've relied on some form of compressed intake charge to make power ever since they dropped the 302.

It's always been hard to compete against the GM engines. Going as far back as the muscle car days. Non-GM fans have always had to work harder and spend more.

Wouldn't own a hellcat boat I mean challenger. Had a camaro, loved it except I felt like I was on the ground. Actually prefer the new mustangs with the coyote motor to all the others. I think the issue is weight with the mustangs though, I could be wrong. Fords more into making their ecoboost motors more efficient and powerful. Hence why the new Ford GT has a ecoboost motor instead of a supercharged V8...

I want a car that looks as good as the Challenger, built as good as the Mustang and has something for the LS/LT engine crowd.

A adamantly hate GM vehicles. Only they have going for them are those engines IMO.

My dad always told me the best thing about a Chevrolet is you pull up to any parts store and rebuild it in the parking lot and it'll be half the price a ford would be lol

    I have had about 50-60 different vehicles since I was 16, I'm 36 now.

I have owned a lot of different makes and models. I can say that ford does make a solid truck. Chevy isn't too bad in the full size truck market. Imports pretty much make everything reliable except Nissan. I haven't had good luck with them.

I had 2 Camaros and they were both nightmares. I had a 91 RS with a 305 and a ton of boltons that sucked. It like to blow transmissions. A 92 z28 that was really nice except for the distributor decided to explode one day. That shorted everything out on the car down all 8 fuel injectors and the ecu. That sucked!

I'm kinda there with you. This Taco is number 29. Bought my first truck at 15, 41 now. I have never owned a Nissan out of everything I have had. They never felt right either driving or just sitting in.

3rd and 4th gen F-bodies were horrible vehicles. So bad. At least the 4th gens were fast out of the box though.

I totally agree about the f bodies. The body design was a big issue. I don't feel the engine got enough air because the nose. My z28 was mint and it still overheated.

I feel that auto manufacturers put the most quality into their trucks. My absolute favorite full size chevy was an 89 reg cab long bed with a 350 and a 400 trans. It had 200k and ran as smooth as butter. I drove that thing everywhere. I even did a 400 mile round trip to pick up a 24ft pontoon boat with it.
