Hi I have a 2016 access cab TRD Sport and it seems to be a bit loud on the interior while driving ; I don't know if it's road noise or wind noise ; ; gasket sealing ? Or other causes? Thanks John

Mine does seem a little noisy when the wind blows hard. Maybe the grill acts like a harmonica?

I have a whistling noise on my driver window. Don't think the gasket is on correctly - definitely going to have it checked out at my 5k service in about a month.

Quite a few people have had this issue, in most cases it was corrected by adjusting the the rubber seal around the window. Good luck getting it fixed, shouldn't be difficult for the dealer to fix.

Hi ; the noises are apparent ; more so at highway speeds ; seems like both road and leakage sounds .

Normal, in the sense that it usually appears above those speeds, but by saying "normal" I mean it should be fixable. I don't mean that's a normal characteristic, mine doesn't howl.

Not sure what you are comparing it to, but the Access Cab is a bit louder because you're missing the back seat to help the acoustics.

Get a hold of your dealer. They did have an issue with Access Cab wind noise in 2016. I do believe they were replacing the gaskets.

Yes, mine was a little loud and leaked, the door seal was replaced and is much better.

My Access Cab is a little bit louder compared to an automatic Double Cab I drove as a loaner for while. I think the Access Cab has less sound insolation than the double cab due to it being a smaller cab.

^^ you're probably right about less insulation. But driving my Hyundai reminds me of how silent the taco is, lol.

Some people had problems with the rear cab vents too behind the back seating area. Not sure if this is also an issue on Access Cabs or not. I'd schedule a ride-along with your dealer. Have them take another similar trim Tacoma off the lot to compare on a ride-along with you and the service advisor in the vehicle. If it's noticeably quieter than your truck, call them out on it.

Make sure you plan ahead to drive it in an area and environment that you can replicate the noise. For instance if you notice it on the freeway, let them know you need to take it to the freeway when you schedule the appointment.
