Try to get covered under auto comprehensive. Lower deductible and should not cause rates to go up. I learned long ago to move trucks out of the range of a falling ladder. Fortunately my lesson was a very minor door ding.

Same with the guy that dropped a 8' extension ladder perpendicular to my lane on the hwy.

I'd definitely fix it as walking up to it every day and seeing that damage would piss me off. Someone keyed my car under the gas cap and I let it go for a couple of months. After looking at it every time I got gas I finally caved and forked out for the respray. But that's just me.

I don't see why not. Removal of the inside A-pillar plastic fully exposed the metal minus the fact there is a curtain airbag.

I will be getting it fixed, if the estimate is over 500 (and I'm sure it will be) I will go through insurance and pay the deductible. Sound like my rate won't go up, so good to go.

A good PDR guy can get a lot of that out in a couple of hours and blend it too. Get it back to maybe 90% original for $300. To $500. Max.

Those guys do most of the minor stuff at dealers now and can do miracles.

PS cruise Lexus dealer and find one or talk to a high end dealer who uses a good PDR guy.

If you were not in the vehicle when it happened they won't jack your rates but you have to pay the deductible still, which for me is $1k. My previous Taco was keyed and the insurance told me I'd just have to pay the deductible but my rates would not go up.
