Ive got a mini Barrage. Really nice, except I chipped the blade and never got around to sending it in.
I got my kid a Kershaw Blur, and i liked it so I got myself one to carry while my Benchmade was out of commission. 4 years later, the Benchmade still sits on my nightstand, and I am still "temporarily" carrying that Blur. :notsure:

So, this will be lost on most of you, cept @Tacoma Mike , but I got my Marshall fixed a couple weeks ago, and haven't really had a chance to sit down and play it since. Well, Friday nights momma gots to work, so Tim rocks the house. Sure is good having the Marshall back. Busted out the Strat and am working on some Hendrix Watchtower. Kind of a bitch with my hand all screwed up, but luckily it weren't my frettin hand, Know what I mean Vern?
    Takin a break right now.

I was looking back through the old posts, and I noticed that after Andy, Sue is the most senior poster in our thread. She joined at post #7, and has been here ever since. I just thought it was high time she got some recognition for putting up with Andy since the beginning.:boink:
So, don't you think she should get a brownie pin or something?

This doesn't sound good. Maybe this would be a good time to remind everyone that Relay for Life is coming up soon, and my wife has been participating in it for, good lord is it almost 10 years now?, and it was very ironic that she was doing this and then wound up with Cancer. So in Honor of my wife and @Cold Iron son, how about donating to the SRMG Super Sacks relay for life team and beat this damn cancer thing.
    Link is in my sig.
    I thank You.

I got one of those at work, and it was from someone I know and worked with at another field office. The dead giveaway for me was that we never have never sent an email to each other...haven't spoken to her in 2 or 3 years.

Just to let you know, my union donates $500 to our local Relay for Life event. I have been Treasurer for going on nine years now, and we have donated for long before I stepped up as an officer. My union represents staff employees @ the 14 Pa state university's.

It's nice to think you could meet people on something like this, become friends, and have that maintained for years. I've met more likeable people in this thread than I have in a long time. My wife commented this morning on what a happy outgoing person I used to be and that was part of what attracted her to me where as now I don't like to be around others much. I told her that is what happens when your happy and outgoing and get screwed over too many times.

I was in bed by 2130 last night :anonymous:

Look at the bright side, when those youngins are just drifting back home we are getting out of bed and getting up with the birds :D

I'm glad to hear you wife has been in remission for 10 years now! Sometimes I think Cancer is almost an entity and tries to attack those that attack it. My father passed away from esophagus cancer 15 years ago. It is why I moved from Asheville NC to Rochester Mn. Figure I am not smart enough to cure cancer but can help those that are. Hell of a battle and a long ways to go. But I moved from research to supporting those that are sick, the world of research is a battle of politics and fighting for grant funding. And then 2 years ago my youngest son ended up with advanced stage IVB Lymphoma.

The chemo was bad enough but he developed a lot of complications from it. Blood infection caused a vegetative mass to grow on his heart. A piece broke off and lodged in his brain and caused a stroke he lost part of his vision in his left eye. The mass kept growing and caused a hole in a heart valve he spent a few weeks in cardio ICU. Then kidneys failed for a month and he was on dialysis in the hospital. And infection in his foot that had to have surgery every few weeks to prevent bone infection. His spine and sternum are fractured and he is still in a lot of pain. So 6 months of chemo turned into 12 months. But in the end he came up clean finally.

PET scan when they found the cancer on the right. The left was after a year of treatment and a normal clean scan. He shows and posts this picture all over that I took with my phone but I cleaned it up and redacted any personal information on it.

So he had a checkup scan and it is back, but just 2 small spots for now.

Good luck on the Relay for Life! Have my support, everyday. Sitting in the waiting area waiting to go in for chemo it was always shocking to see just how many people, of all ages, there are.
