Yea, I'm noticing that the deeper I dive into searching.

Ordered the tires just now. Not to bad, 6 something, they get here the 12th.
Dave Weaver is up here at the fire school, gonna see if I can get him to put them on when Stacy isn't around.

With the help of a 6 am wake up text from @loosnut , yesterday, this project finally got finished today.

2 new bed bolts later, and the reinforcements are in.

    This was my third attempt.

I'm getting a bit annoyed. I'm trying to give them my fucking money and they wont take it. So. My money is likely going else where now.

I've read through his thread probably 20 + times. debating what way to go about it. Figure when I pull that I could also do the floor and get some of the wireing cleaned up. Possibly ripe out the carpet cause I despise having to clean that shit.

I didn't. I just worked one half at a time (left to right). For whatever reason in my tiny little brain I thought it was less work to contort than to pull the headliner wiring apart. It really isn't that bad as long as you have plenty of room to open the doors all the way. If you want to pull it out completely, you'll have to cut the tape that holds the wiring to the headliner but just make sure to replace it with something that will hold up. Loose wiring will cause an annoying rattle up there.

That's what I was afraid of, you mentioned something bout glue but decided not to go there..

Trying to plan a few minor improvement projects to keep me occupied. Read through that whole thread again.

Yeah some parts of the wiring had what appeared to be "hot glue gun" type of glue holding it down. I replaced mine with gorilla tape and so far it's holding (haven't heard any rattles), but I suppose some silicone or something similar would work also. It's a rewarding mod, IMO. Especially with summer coming again for us, I've noticed the heat reduction on hot days. The noise reduction was secondary for me, but also there. I still need to do my doors. I have everything to do them, just haven't gotten around to it.

With your stereo, the sound deadening would do wonders for the sound quality for you, but the doors will net you better results than the roof. I'd say 70/30, doors to roof overall improvement.

Interesting, maybe I'll do the doors first, as a trial run.

Slight confusion for me looking through the steps again. Which product did you put on first, the black sticky and then the grey or vise versa?

It was the black sticky (foil backed). The grey foam is also sticky backed and mush less forgiving if you put it down and try to lift it so be extra careful with it. To be honest, the grey foam is more of a heat insulator and if you're only doing it for sound, it may not be worth it to add that product. You'll be fine with just the black foil-backed butyl deadener.
