I just installed the same unit. I have a couple of questions if you don't mind. Did you have like zero room left at the back of the unit when you installed? Mine was tight. Also did you get it to hook to factory Sirius and aux port? I talked to crutchfield tech after fighting with mine and they said an adaptor to go to the Stock sirius wasn't available and I needed another specialized adaptor to get the aux to work. When I bought it supposedly it was all compatible until I called when they didn't work lol. I'm more concerned about the rear spacing and the unit overheating though, it's right up against the main wire harness and it doesn't move.

Yep it was a pretty tight fit and I'm still working on getting it to look factory. The fit is off just a little, I have a long weekend this week so I'm hoping I can work on it then. To be honest I haven't had too much time to become familiar with the unit. I've used it mostly for hands free phone and to play music from my phone. Sorry I couldn't help ya and I hope it works out for you.

Thanks, I'm going to mod a new aux jack this weekend and try to make some more space behind the unit. Got speakers and sat kit on the way so I'll have it apart again anyway.

As far as the fit goes, I also had the metra kit you have and wasn't happy with it. I bought a black scoshe kit and it fits WAY better than the metra does. I'll take a picture of the scoshe next to the metra and post both later today when I have time.

Also, not sure what years but my 09 did have the ability to connect the factory sirius antenna to the sirius tuner. There's a connector wire you can buy (about $60) that plugs into the factory connection on the drivers side kick panel. My reception wasn't as good as using the magnetic antenna so I stopped using the oem connection.

I was thinking of getting the Scoshe kit to see if that improves the fit. If you have pics that would be cool. Thanks!

So here are the comparison pictures, you can see my metra looks like yours, it doesn't fully merge into the rest of the dash and the brackets definitely didn't fit my pioneer correctly, I had to do a fair amount of modding to make it work. The schoshe just worked on the first try.

I see what you mean...looks like I'm gonna have to switch to Scoshe to get the factory look. Thanks man, much appreciated
