If you can remove the part you should be able to sand, fill, sand, fill, etc. until it is nice and smooth and the repaint and install. Cheaper than $250. Then the next time you find a pull it yourself junkyard pick one up and replace it. That part should be fine even after most accidents.

I am far from an expert but I would take the piece off and head into a body shop supply store and show them the piece and ask what you would need to do and buy for materials. You can also just stop by an autobody shop. Can't hurt to get an estimate. If you do that I would ask for a price fixing it on the truck and if you brought the piece into them.

Google. It's extremely easy to find anyone, anywhere in the USA. Especially with the amount of social media people put out there.

There's not. You may get lucky, but there's no publicly available database for this sort of thing. That's for cops, DMV workers, etc.

Google "careless disposal of smoking materials" it is one of the major causes of residential, brush and other fires--though it really should be called "Ă sshole disposal of smoking materials". I see them being tossed out car windows all the time.

Still trying to figure out how I can mount an M61 under the hood...

Littering is for lazy asses. Most humans are lazy asses.

Drives me nuts walking down the street and seeing the mass load of cig butts sitting in the gutter. Like "why?" Too lazy to have an ashtray and throw that shit away at home.

It's okay though, she will have fun with her COPD.
