    I've got a set of new N-Fab nerf steps (bed access, textured/matte) and will be putting them on when my Tacoma arrives in a month or so. I've seen a couple sets of N-Fabs on 2nd gens with some rust starting at the welds/seams, etc.

    Should I have any issues with adding a 2nd/3rd coat of paint (especially in weld/angled areas) with the spray can Rustoleum Truck Bed liner? Wondering about bonding to the n-fab coat, etc. I don't want to sand it; since it's textured, I'm hopefulll/confident it will be ok in the long run.

    Any thoughts?

    Speaking of N-Fab Nerf Steps - Do they make them for Gen 3 Access Cab? Only need one step on each side. All their ads should Double Cabs

    I wouldn't worry too much about it and I certainly wouldn't paint over powder coat. If it does bug you grab some fluid film and spray on the joints occasionally. Stuff is amazing.

    ^^^ That ... I have them on my truck... for 1 1/2 years and no rust... not even on the spot that got scratched in shipping. When they get powder coated there's a prime coat that has rust inhibitor mixed in. You will be fine...
