I recently finished installing a replacement JDM 3RZ into my taco. Now the speedometer & odometer are not working. I am throwing a P0500 code as well. The cable isn't broken. I've hooked a drill to the transfer case end and the speedometer end spins as it should. Does anyone have any bright ideas on what to try next or is it probable my cluster is toast. Tach, fuel, and temp gauge work fine. 1996 ext cab 3rz 4x4.

Check for broken wires at the speeds connector at the trans.

Are the sensors different between an auto & manual trans? I have a manual trans. I don't even know where they are located...
